Friendship

On Sunday I celebrated my birthday with an exciting party at mine.
The idea was to make everything pink, food and drinks included!
It took a whole day to make everything up but finally the result was quite cute!
As decoration I bought pink tableclothes, which I put also around the lamps in order to have a pinky light. Then, I took a few candies, obviously marshmallows couldn't miss, and put them in Victoria's Secrets little bags and nice pots.
The greatest decorations I found were those giant neon straws and a "thing" that shoots confetti, which were really funny!
Then, I set some candles and a few pics of me and my family.
I wrapped a pink ribbon around the chairs and the sofa.
Finally, I blew up some pink and white balloons and set a bunch of roses in a pot.

As food I made some snacks and pasta for everyone. Everything on the pink theme.
There were tramezzino sandwiches with ham or salmon or tuna cream (made with tuna and philadelphia).
I put a tray with little tomatoes and mini mozzarellas skewers on it (which my friends loved so much, as they were immediately eaten up).
I couldn't forget chips, obviously!
Then I made lemon pasta, very easy to make but great to taste. Just cook some pasta and melt a little butter. Grave some lemon peel and add it to the butter. Mix everything up and you've done! This tastes so nice and lots of my mates asked me for the recipe: I think that's because it's simple but original.

My mum then, helped me with the sweets
I made pink cupcakes which were really pretty, since I dressed them up with some white frosting and cute little pink flowers I made on my own!
The mother made the cake, which had a smart star shape, pink custard in it and pink icing on the top with little strawberries on the corners.
I lit three weird candles, which seemed like pink fireworks, that really made it more special than it already was.

For the drinks, I arranged some cool pink glasses of red orange juice, and put a little strawberry on the edge. They actually looked like professional cocktails!
So this is how I managed to organise my pink party!
Really hope you enjoyed it, let me know if you had already seen something similar or you ideas for the perfect party!
Love,

Sara
