Homemade manicure

luglio 20, 2014

We're in the middle of the hot season and girls, we can’t show ourselves unprepared! So, why not doing a homemade manicure post, for girls who want to pamper themselves a bit with the charm of beauty ?!
And here we are. Let’s get started!

Here is what you need (simple things you can easily find at home):

  a nail polish remover
  some cotton
  a little bowl
a few drops of lavender oil
  a cuticle remover tool
  a cuticle remover polish
  a nail file
  a nail polish you like

First of all, start removing – if you’re wearing it - the old nail polish spilling a little of the nail polish remover on the cotton.

Secondly, fill up the bowl with some lukewarm water and add some drops of lavender oil in it. You can use other kinds of oil, if you don’t have the lavender one, because everyone soften your nails.

So put your hand in the bowl for a few minutes and relax yourself, maybe reading a fashion magazine!

Then, wipe your hands with a towel and apply the cuticle remover polish on your nails.

Begin pushing back your cuticles with the specific tool, so you can easily remove them after that with the sharp side of the tool.

You can now shape your nails as you like with a file. I usually make mine quite squared but a bit rounded aside.

Finally, apply your favorite nail polish on a transparent base, paying attention not to come out of the nail’s contour. But don’t worry, if you make a mistake, you can always correct it with a cotton bud dunked in the nail polish remover!

So this is the result! Really hope you enjoyed it, let me know in the comments!!

Love,
Sara
